This section contains info to what I consider all parts of the heart of a geek. My geekiness is the best, so this is dedicated to what I consider to be the best in geek!
1. Veroncia Belmont
Oh, Veroncia! I have never met a geek with such beauty. Even though you are a Mac fangirl, you complete my geek soul. I would probably even give up Windows for you, but I am sure you have heard that line before. You have podcasted yourself into my heart and I doubt any other woman will ever fill the recesses of my geekdom that I dream you do.
Don't ever stop being geek, Veroncia! You are what gives me hope when I lose valuable data. You keep me going when my computer starts to act up. You are what makes me weep when I have hit my bandwidth cap for the month. Best of all, you are what I have always dreamed a geek girl to be.
Where ever I go, you will always be a "bit" of me!
2. Next best to Veroncia at your side, would be a IBM Model M keyboard. This is a mechanical switch keyboard from the early days of computing. It has the defacto feedback for a keyboard and it is built like a tank. They are no longer made by IBM, but you can find the same style from here. It also nows come with a USB interface, instead of the old style PS2 or even worse the 5-pin DIN interface. You can also find the originals on eBay, if you truly want a piece of computing history.
3. So you have your theoritical "geek" girlfriend and a good keyboard. What has almost become mandatory these days is a dual montior setup. The more digital you become the more desktop real estate you require. Two might no even be enough. How many documents do you cut and paste between? How many websites do you require open for reference? You can go tab crazy, but that will only lead you to crazy. Get as many monitors setup as you can to keep your peace of mind.
